The assets of a £30 million turnover conservatory business recently placed into the hands of administrators is to be sold in an auction scheduled to take place in July.
The assets for sale feature specialist manufacturing equipment – thought likely to draw potential buyers from all over Europe – which are all modern CNC and conventional woodworking machines.
The administrators of Amdega, one of the longest established conservatory manufacturers across the globe, has drafted in Sanderson Weatherall, chartered surveyors and auction specialists, to sell the assets in a two-day online public auction on 6 and 7 of July 2011. A view day has been set for 30 June 2011.
"Owing to the specialist nature of these manufacturing items we anticipate there will be a high level of interest and we expect some competitive bidding,” Mark Weston at Sanderson Weatherall said.
We reported at the end of April this year that Amdega had perished in the widespread tough trading conditions in the industry, leaving customers potentially out of pocket as they faced losing their £10,000 deposits.
