It sells over 1,300 products to its customer base of DIY retailers, merchants, and construction and manufacturer firms. It has FSC Chain of Custody certification.
The administrators Andy Wood and Christopher White of P&A Partnership are trading the business of FW Mason & Sons Ltd while working to identify a new owner.

Established in 1929, the family run business uses its 25 vehicles and ten trailers to transport its own DIY products to retailers and timber merchants from its base in Sheffield.
Its financial figures for the year to 31 August 2009 show revenues of £10.75 million with losses of £1.27 million. Its total current assets stood at £4.657 million.
