Back-to-work training provider, Blue Sky People Solutions, has been bought by the company’s management team after two years of consistent growth.
The Liverpool-based business helps unemployed people to train for management roles in health and care, sports, customer services and security industries. Its range of programmes include short courses, NVQs and apprenticeships schemes.
Speaking about the MBO deal, Ian Mclean, head of operations, said: “This opportunity is the result of two years hard work and follows on from the inspirational leadership under our outgoing managing director Andrew Leathwood.”
The firm had revenues of £623,000 in 2010, with 28 per cent growth for the same year, according to Mr Mclean.
Entrepreneur Mr Leathwood commented: “I’m delighted that Blue Sky People Solutions can now deliver on a national foot print and it’s the preferred provider for many employers across the UK, both large and small in the sports, security and care industry.”
The new owners plan to maintain this growth in 2011, develop its services to the unemployed and the business on a national scale.
“We are all about creating sustainable employment for learners”, Mr Mclean said.
