A hotel in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, is being marketed for sale by Colliers International, with a price tag of £1 million plus.
The Charlton Kings Hotel was formed in the early 1990s by extending an existing house, and is the first house travellers see if approaching the town from the east.
The property has 17 bedrooms, two of which are currently being used by the live-in owners, but could also be let by new owners. It also has a bar, restaurant and large garden.
The buyer could work on building up the restaurant aspect to the business, since it is in a strong position, Peter Brunt, hotels director at Colliers said.
“This is a great opportunity for someone who wants an easily run business that will turn a good profit,” he added.
“It stands in almost an acre of land and with events like the Cheltenham Gold Cup and Literature Festival there is a huge programme of local events where hotels are in great demand.”
Other festivals that take place in Cheltenham include the Music Festival, Food and Drink Festival, the Cricket Festival, and the Screenwriting Festival.
