The Peacock Group has brought in financial advisors at DC Advisory Partners to consider options for Bonmarché, to include a possible sale.
The Peacock Group, owner of the Peacocks chain, acquired Bonmarché, the discount clothes retailer to women over the age of 45, in 2002 from the Chima brothers in a deal worth over 50 million.
The price tag for Bonmarché has not, as yet, been disclosed.
Bonmarché, with over 380 shops and 4,000 employees, is one of the UK’s biggest women’s clothing retailers for middle-aged and older women. The business fits well with Peacocks, which dresses women in the 25 to 45-age band.
Peacocks, which is also a discount clothing retailer, was bought by a consortium, including Och-Ziff and Perry Capital, in 2006 for £420 million.
US investment firm Och-Ziff is currently pursuing a purchase of upmarket apparel retailer AllSaints, which is seeking new funding.
Established in 1982, Bonmarché’s head offices and warehouse distribution operations are based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. It sells clothes ranging from casual and formal, swimwear, lingerie and nightwear in sizes 12 to 24.
Premier provider of carpentry and joinery in London and counties, catering to a diverse clientele encompassing luxury and mid-range property developers, main contractors, and discerning private clients.
A concept which led to revolutionizing the restaurant industry, offering an efficient and profitable approach to food production and targeted marketing.
As a specialist in Italian Motorcycle Parts and Accessories supplies, the business has developed expertise in sourcing and offering a comprehensive range of high quality products.
