A Lincolnshire haulage firm has been saved from administration in an anonymous buyout deal.
An "unconnected" third party has swooped in to buy up RJP (999) Limited, after it called in administrators at the beginning of the month. The deal secures the jobs of the 22 staff employed by the firm. The new owner of the business will trade it under its former - and most well-known name - RJP (Lincoln) Limited.
Administrators from P&A Partnership were appointed on December 6. In a statement on the sale, P&A's Chris White said that any creditors seeking payments from the company will received a proof of debt form "in due course".
"We are pleased to have been able to sell the business and save 22 jobs in these difficult economic times," he said. "We will be notifying creditors formally within the next few days, with complete details of the sale."
The manager director of RJP, Colin Woodcock, said he was delighted to receive the news of the successful sales, particularly with Christmas just around the corner.
"With the initial support we are now receiving we are looking forward to continuing as a significant employer in Lincolnshire," he said.
The successful purchaser will acquire a fast growing, leading independent recruitment agency, providing temporary, contract, an permanent positions and solutions across various sectors nationwide.
It’s a family business, known for its reliability, its good network and competitive pricing, working for well-established builders and civil engineering companies, enjoying an excellent reputation, predominantly in Manchester and the Northwest.
