A beach-based holiday village located on the south Pembrokeshire coast has been put up for sale with an asking price of £3 million.
Freshwater Bay Holiday Village spans 13.9 acres adjacent to the coast and comprises of 288 two-storey holiday homes. The site is located in Freshwater East Bay, on the outskirts of Freshwater East Village in Pembrokeshire.
The popular holiday village is being marketed by Colliers International, who have said they are hoping to take advantage of increased interest in local, 'staycation' style holidays as a result of both the recent pandemic and a new emphasis on low-cost trips.
“This is already a well-established holiday village that offers investors fantastic potential," said Ben Jones, director in the parks team at Colliers International. “Even before lockdown, holiday parks such as this were the focus of considerable purchaser interest because of the popularity of ‘staycation’ breaks."
Mr Jones added that the low-density, standalone accommodation offered a the park will prove popular among investors looking to buy into the UK-based holiday market while adhering to regulations. In addition, he added that the strong market demand across the sector and the area as a result of COVID-19 means buyers are looking to capitalise on the increasing number of people looking to avoid holidays abroad.
Mr Jones also emphasised the importance of Wales' successful tourism industry on the company's chance of a successful sale. He said: "Wales has a strong tourism economy and remains an ever-popular tourist destination with a fantastic reputation as a relaxing and beautiful place to visit, boasting three National Parks, including the UK’s only coastal national park, and a distinct and authentic culture.”
