The Green Street House spa in Bath is set to close, allowing the owner to pursue new interests.
Launched by Betsi Hughes and her friend in 2003, the spa is now looking to shut in September unless a new buyer presents her with an offer.
The establishment appeared on television upon its opening, when Hughes and her colleague discussed their new business venture on an episode of Channel 4’s programme Risking It All.
Green Street House has spent the last 15 years providing luxury spa treatments and beauty products to its customers. Those holding a voucher to any of their services should use them before closure in mid-September.
“It’s been such a wonderful adventure and I’ve enjoyed every minute of it. But after 15 years the time is right to move onto the next phase of my life and spend more time with family and enjoying our holiday home in the West Indies,” she said.
Although she believes it is time to wind down, Hughes stated that she would consider selling the business to the right buyer.
She said: “It would be great if Green Street House could continue.
“The business has done very well over the years and there is a real opportunity for someone to continue to build on the successes we have had and ensure that Green Street House Spa continues to thrive in the future.”
