National horticultural and green workplace service provider The Nurture Group has completed its 48th acquisition. The group has acquired Telford-based Spacecare Limited, which will operate under the Nurture Landscapes brand with effect from October 1 2024.
Founded in 1997 as Keann (UK) Limited, the business rebranded as Spacecare Limited in 2007. The company now employs more than 200 staff at seven locations across the UK, serving in excess of 700 client sites, providing services including grounds maintenance, winter maintenance and arboricultural services.
Spacecare Limited Managing Director Chris Hicks said that the “shared values and commitment to service excellence” of the two companies made the acquisition a “natural fit” and would ensure “that our clients continue to receive the premier standards of service they have come to expect.”
The deal is Nurture Group’s 48th since it was founded in 2008 and fourth in 2024 alone, with the group continuing to use strategic acquisitions to consolidate its national footprint and bolster its comprehensive service offering portfolio.
So far this year, the group has acquired Birmingham-based pest control specialist Midland Pest Control, Aberdeenshire-based green services provider Roy Cowie Limited and Hertfordshire-based environmental services provider Gristwood & Toms.
The Nurture Group has utilised both targeted acquisitions and organic growth to fuel its expansion, with the group now having turnover in excess of £200 million and a workforce of more than 2,800.
The Nurture Group Executive Chairman Peter Fane commented: "We are thrilled to welcome Spacecare to the Nurture Group. Spacecare is a well-reputed national provider whose services align perfectly with and complement our existing offerings.”
"This acquisition not only enhances our nationwide presence but also ensures that Spacecare's established clients, alongside the Nurture Group's existing clientele, will continue to benefit from exceptional service delivery."
The resurgent services sector could be key to a revival in UK dealmaking
