Colliers International has been called in to sell the Crewe Arms Hotel in Crewe, Cheshire, with a price of £1 million.
The long-standing hotel was built in the first half of the 19th century and was extended in the later part of the century. It is renowned for once having Queen Victoria as a guest.
The three-star hotel sits opposite Crewe railway station and has 61 en-suite bedrooms, a restaurant, lounge and bar, as well as seven meeting rooms and a contract car park with 120 spaces. It can also host weddings, and has a civil wedding ceremony licence.
Current owner Mr Harpreet Singh has owned the freehold property since 2008.
The hotel attracts tourist and business clients Neil Thomson, an associate director at Colliers International, said: “The prime position of the hotel opposite Crewe railway station, together with its vicinity to the town centre and Crewe Gates Industrial Park, provides an excellent opportunity for an investor or hotel group to acquire a substantial freehold site ideal as a conference and meeting venue."
