Flint + Partners, a boutique construction consultancy based in London, has been acquired by MGAC, a global project and cost management consultancy. The deal consolidates the previous strategic partnership between the two companies, bringing Flint + Partners under the MGAC banner.
Flint + Partners provides construction consultancy services including strategic advisory, project management and cost management. The firm was founded in 2022 by former Davis Langdon partner Peter Flint, alongside directors Paul Davis and Radhika Sathy. The three had previously worked together at Aecom, where Flint was Chief Growth Officer for the EMEA region.
Since it was established two years ago, Flint + Partners has built a portfolio of high-profile work for clients including ExCeL London, The British Museum, Prior & Partners, RealWorld Studios and London Transport Museum.
MGAC is headquartered in Washington DC and has seven offices across the US and Canada, including New York, Seattle and Toronto. The company also has four existing offices in the UK, in Birmingham, Brighton, London and Glasgow, following its October 2021 acquisition of project management and cost consulting specialist RLF.
The strategic partnership between the companies, announced six months ago, aimed “to grow the collaborative presence of both firms, leveraging their combined expertise, experience, and resources”.
Discussing the decision to acquire Flint + Partners, Mark Anderson, president and chief executive of MGAC, said: “This next step in our partnership will allow us to be more agile and entrepreneurial across our current and target markets.”
Following the acquisition, MGAC said that Peter Flint would serve on its leadership team as Executive Managing Director. Flint will work from the London office, leading the UK team "to grow the business and deliver a modern client services approach”.
Flint commented: "Since we formed our partnership in March, we have already built a more nimble and innovative business in the UK and internationally. Joining MGAC fully will allow us to accelerate our growth goals and streamline our business development approach, as well as build a truly integrated service model.”
"Most importantly, MGAC and our team align fully on the desire to lead a diversified and progressive advisory approach."
