SME business management software specialist Access Group has agreed to acquire finance automation services provider Lightyear. The acquisition will extend Access’ ERP software offering.
Lightyear was founded in 2017 and has since grown to offer its services across EMEA, APAC and North America. The company’s suite of financial automation services are used to automate critical financial processes for SMEs and mid-market companies, including accounts payable, expenses and purchasing.
The company’s Chief Executive Chris Gregg said that joining the Access Group would enable Lightyear to “innovate faster and deliver more benefits to our mutual customers”, adding that he was impressed with Access Group’s "customer focus, ambition and culture.”
Access’ ERP division serves a range of small, medium, large and growing businesses, providing tailored services across a variety of industry verticals, including supply chain, construction, waste management, facilities management and professional services.
Claire Carter, Managing Director of Access ERP, said: "Lightyear is a great fit for our business. The proven success and innovation of the Lightyear team excite us and show huge potential for the future of this world-class product in conjunction with the other solutions we provide today.
"Following completion of regulatory reviews, we will be delighted to welcome Lightyear into our Access ERP eco-system."
She added: "This latest acquisition supports our growth strategy and focuses on delivering solutions that meet the needs of our expanding international customer base."
The takeover of Lightyear comes just days after the Access Group announced its acquisition of engagement management platform Elay, which is partnered with more than 250 staffing and talent acquisition firms around the world.
The group’s Access Legal division has also acquired inCase, a mobile application and software management provider to legal professionals.
