Business has now ceased at Jarose Woodworking Limited after the firm entered administration at the beginning of February.
All 48 staff have been made redundant by the administrators Howard Smith and Mark Firmin from KPMG. The pair had operated the business since being appointed, ensuring that any outstanding work had been finished.
Jarose Shopfitting operated shopfitting and woodworking for 35 years for its blue-chip retailer clients from its base in Howley Park Industrial Estate in Morley, Leeds.
Its list of clients included restaurants and bars such as Frankie & Benny’s, Dominos Pizza and Garfunkels, and shops BHS, Molton Brown, Cadbury’s World, Magnet and Thomas Pink. It offered a full service to include design and development, project management through to bespoke joinery and metalwork and spraying/polishing.
Joint administrator Mr Smith commented on the insolvency: “Declining sales at Jarose Woodworking significantly impacted cash flow and the business’ ability to meet its liabilities. The Joint Administrators are exploring options to realise the best results for the Company’s creditors.
“We have assisted the affected employees in their claims to the redundancy payments office.”
Total fixed assets of £181,155 were recorded by the company for its last financial report at Companies House.
