A football centre in the North East has entered administration, with administrators looking to sell the distressed business.
Complete Football (Gosforth) Limited was founded by ex-Newcastle United Kenny Dalglish and later run by Paul Bracewell, a Sunderland player. However, it is now in the hands of the insolvency team at Tait Walker.
The site grew from the original site established by Dalglish in 2006 at Gosforth Park and is now thought to be worth around £3 million and includes six small football pitches and a full-size international pitch. Ten team dressing rooms, party rooms, a players' lounge and a fitness club are also on-site.
Administrator Alan Kelly commented: “The site is well invested and has a well-established name and reputation.
“Interest in the site from potential purchasers is high and we are in discussions with a number of parties. I am hopeful that this will be concluded within weeks.
“I would like to thank the staff, customers and suppliers for the very positive support received.”
Care home entrepreneur Alison Morgan joined Complete Football in 2010 and ran the company with Bracewell. However, Bracewell left the company last year and the firm was solely under the control of Ms Morgan when it entered administration this year.
