Buyers are being sought for the assets of The Delivery Specialists Ltd, which traded as Clarks Direct, after entering administration.
Matt Howard and David Merrygold of PKF are continuing to trade part of the business since their appointment on 16 January, while working to reclaim as much value for creditors as possible.
The Delivery Specialists, which is still providing its commercial storage at its base in Stratton Strawless, Norwich, had been unable to meet the terms of a CVA arranged with creditors in 2010. It also lost its contract to be a part of the Pall Ex Network, which had given it access to 83 haulage depots across Britain.
The directors came to the decision to close down its haulage service and reduce its storage business.
Matt Howard commented: “We will continue to provide storage services to the existing client base for as long as possible; customers are being advised of the situation.
“We plan to sell the company’s assets in order to recoup as much as possible for creditors.
“The trading premises will be placed on the market shortly, and we will also look to dispose of vehicles, plant and racking.”
