The Celtic Springs Clinic in Newport has entered administration, it has been confirmed.
The clinic, which provided gastric band operations for patients, had been struggling with “cashflow pressures” for some time and was forced to cease trading as no suitable buyer could be found.
Andrew Pear, from administrators BM Advisory, commented: "Despite extensive work undertaken by various parties to realise a sale of the business, unfortunately no suitable buyer could be found.
"Following our appointment, the principal concern is of course ongoing patient care and we are working closely with all relevant parties, including the healthcare regulator and other clinics to ensure that all patients receive the necessary support, treatment and high standard of care they require."
There is now a chance that a buyer will be found for the state-of-the-art premises, allowing the facilities to be used by a different company in the future.
A total of 25 jobs were lost as a result of the business failure. However, administrators have noted that their main concern now is to handle enquiries from patients keen to know what will happen to their treatment plans.
Operating across North Yorkshire, the company has two divisions, one that provides IT infrastructure and one offering renewable energy solutions, including solar PV systems and electric vehicle charging points.
The group specialises in supplying and installing UPVC windows, doors and conservatories in a wide array of styles. Bespoke bathroom panelling and high-quality guttering products are also provided by the two companies.
