The directors of construction group Baris have appointed administrators from FRP Advisory after a deterioration in trading conditions took its toll on business.
Chris Stirland, Phil Armstrong and Nathan Jones were appointed earlier this month and will take care of the administration of Baris Group Ltd and its two operating subsidiaries, Baris Facades and Linings Ltd and Quality In Components (QIC), under the collective banner of Baris.
Mr Stirland, who is a partner with the group, commented: “Since our appointment as joint administrators, we have been assessing the viability of the operating companies at Baris, both Baris Facades and Linings, and QIC, to continue to trade whilst seeking buyers for all or parts of the businesses.

Baris employed a total of 154 staff at the time of administration. All 97 staff at Baris Facades and Linings have been made redundant, while a core staff have been kept on at QIC in order to assist the joint administrators in managing operations.

Operating across North Yorkshire, the company has two divisions, one that provides IT infrastructure and one offering renewable energy solutions, including solar PV systems and electric vehicle charging points.
The group specialises in supplying and installing UPVC windows, doors and conservatories in a wide array of styles. Bespoke bathroom panelling and high-quality guttering products are also provided by the two companies.
The company is a well-regarded specialist provider of hygienic wall, floor, and ceiling cladding systems. To complement its core supply of PVC cladding, the business offers hot welded joints to prevent the build-up of bacteria and can supply stainles...
