Corporate events organiser Happy People Corporation Ltd, which traded as The Alternative, has been placed into administration.
Tim Ball of Mazars has been brought in as the administrator and is working to save the jobs and preserve services to the clients.
Based in Southwark, London, the business was involved in brand engagement, managing global projects, campaigns and events for a prestigious client base including the BBC, Samsung, Nokia, Sainsbury’s, Orange T-Mobile and American Express.
Having operated for 17 years the business had 12 members of staff and a turnover of about £3 million. It aimed to provide bespoke solutions for its clients that would inspire audiences in a rapidly changing world of brands.
Mr Ball is optimistic about Happy People Corporation’s future.
He said: “We shall be trading on and are in negotiations with potential interested parties to sell the business as a going concern.”
Happy People worked with Sainsbury’s to use its sponsorship of the London 2012 Paralympics Games to inspire its staff to promote awareness and positive interaction with those with disabilities in their communities.
