Linley & Simpson has purchased rival residential agency Move2 as part of its bid to expand through acquisition in Yorkshire this year.
Founded in 1997 by Will Linley and Nick Simpson, the firm - which began with two offices in Horsforth and Oakwood - went on to add new offices in Harrogate, Wetherby, Leeds, Wakefield, York, Ilkley and Ripon. It has now announced its tenth branch in Saltaire, having taken over the sales and letting operation of its latest purchase Move2.
The deal, which has fulfilled Linley & Simpson’s goal to extend its geographical reach, will enable the agent to offer house sales, in addition to its rental property offering.
Director, Will Linley spoke to The Business Desk about the deal: “With its thriving rental market, the Aire Valley has been at the heart of our planned expansion for some time and we are delighted to complete this deal.
“The new office will cover an area that includes Shipley, Bingley and Baildon and fills a geographical gap that had existed in our network of neighbouring offices.
“The office will also act as the launch pad for our new service helping people to buy and sell homes, as well as rent one. We plan to phase in the extra dimension to our services across all our branches over the next year,” Mr Linley added.
The agent also added Boroughbridge-based Carrington Property Management to its portfolio earlier this year.
