Guildford-based TWM Solicitors announced recently that its employment team, which forms a part of the business law team, has merged with Wilcox & Co, a specialist employment practice.
The proprietor of Wilcox & Co, Anthony Wilcox, is armed with plenty of experience in the employment sector, with a special focus on the pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, specialist vehicle manufacturing, publishing, education, travel and drinks industries.
Most significantly, his fortes include managing large-scale business reorganisations, redundancies and relocations, which align and supplement TWM’s current employment team and its strengths. Wilcox is also trained and qualified as a mediator to assume mediation services both in the employment and commercial litigation departments.
Managing partner of TWM, Matthew Truelove said: “This merger fits perfectly into our employment department's strategy to expand our presence in the market and provide a broader employment law offering to our clients.”
The merger will allow the staff at TWM to carry out an in-house customer designed training scheme to educate and support managers, supervisors and HR professionals on the practical matters relating to employment law. The services will be available to all of TWM’s clients.
Truelove added: "We are particularly excited that we are now able to offer a full employment law training service to our corporate clients as well as a truly excellent employment and commercial mediation service to businesses.
"With Anthony's assistance, our business law department will continue to provide practical, affordable solutions from personable, approachable lawyers."
TWM’s employment team provides advice to a range of firms of varying sizes, from small-scale start-ups to large multinational companies on all aspects of their business.
