A successful MBO of Introview Group has been completed, lead by the firm's production director, Garry Hardy.
Watersheds, a corporate finance firm, oversaw the deal, which also involved finance director Mike Seamarks. However, it is Mr Hardy who will become managing director following the MBO after the retirement of Keith Burgess.
The main operating company of the group is Newnorth Print Ltd, which was established in 1971 to deliver a range of print services to different UK-based markets.
Mr Hardy commented: “The three of us had already made the career change of a lifetime when we initially became owners 14 years ago, with Watersheds’ help. It was natural for Mike and me to enlist Watersheds for the second time, when Keith decided to retire.
“This is an exciting time in print, as we move firmly into digital technology, which enables Newnorth to respond to customer requirements faster.”
Watershed' partner Stephen Smart oversaw the MBO of the firm, which employs 60 people.
He commented: “They meticulously organised the management transition to have no impact on the
business, which facilitated our focus on management of the project to deliver a relatively complex structure and its documentation against a deadline.”
