Industry insiders are predicting that the BBC's intention to sell off the majority stake in its magazine arm in one transaction is too much to ask for.
The corporation announced last week its intention to sell many of its publications, including Top Gear, Gardeners' World and Good Food, and that it wanted to do it in one deal.
Despite having generated more than 30 expressions of interest already, however, the conditions that the BBC is attaching to the deal - including retaining a certain degree of editorial control - could ultimately create a mixed web of individual sales and licensing agreements.
