The assets of A1 Grand Prix have been placed on the market with the potential to re-launch the series in the future, after the parent company entered liquidation recently.
Liquidators Tony Murphy and James Bradney of Bridge Business Recovery are understood to be confident of finding a new owner for the A1 Grand Prix series.
They aim to sell the assets as a complete package, with the intention for the buyer to carry on the series in the near future.
Lola cars, parts and spares, are amongst the assets for sale, as well as the intellectual property rights to the A1 Grand Prix series logos and brands. The assets could also be sold off individually if the package is not bought.
The operating company A1 Grand Prix Operations Ltd did not survive a winding up petition issued in the High Court last summer and was placed into administration in October.
Tony Murphy commented: "Although it is still early days we are highly confident that a buyer can be found for the company's assets and with it the prospect of the A1 Grand Prix series returning to our TV screens in the near future."
