A shopping centre located less than a mile from the famous designer outlet Bicester Village is being put up for auction with a guide price of £1.3 - £1.4 million. The Deans Court Shopping Centre comprises 11 fully-let units and is up for auction with Allsop.
The shopping centre is situated adjacent to the market square in the Oxfordshire town of Bicester, close to the Bicester Village railway station. Bicester Village, one of the UK’s most prominent designer shopping outlets with more than 160 boutique stores, is located just 0.7 miles from the shopping centre.
While Bicester Village remains a far more notable retail destination, the town of Bicester is also experiencing rapid growth, with 10,000 new homes planned to be built over the next 12 years and the population forecast to increase from 32,000 to over 50,000 by 2031.
Deans Court Shopping Centre is in a prime location in the centre of town, with Bicester Village railway station providing regular services to London Marylebone, Birmingham, Oxford and Stratford upon Avon. The town also has good road connections, sitting at the junction of the A41, A4421 and A4095 and three miles from the M40 (Junction 9).
The centre has a diverse array of businesses as tenants, including a bridal boutique, menswear store, vaping store, recruitment company, pizza restaurant, sports store and a branch of Age UK, among others. Total current rent per year amounts to £158,800.
It has 11 of its own car parking spaces and also adjoins Bicester’s town centre Claremont short stay public car park to the rear, which provides 159 pay and display parking spaces.
The auction for Deans Court Shopping Centre will be held online, with the bidding opening at 11:00am on Tuesday November 1st.
