A substantial site that previously housed an indoor market is up for sale in the Liverpool area.
Kensington indoor market previously occupied the location, which is up for sale with outline planning permission for a supermarket.
At 2.34 acres, the site has previously been granted outline planning permission for a 50,000 sq ft supermarket, as well as additional retail, car parking and residential housing.
Sanderson Weatherall in Manchester and the Liverpool office of Matthews & Goodman have been jointly instructed to sell the site by Mark Swiers and Daniel Hardy, joined fixed charge receivers to AW Developments Liverpool.
An adjacent site will allow for the expansion of a residential element of the development, however, it is not being offered for sale through the same deal but negotiation with the existing owners is a possibility according to reports from Place North West.
Mark Swiers, joined fixed charge receiver, told the site: “This is a rare opportunity to acquire and redevelop a prime and prominent site in part of Liverpool enjoying massive regeneration."
Liverpool was named European Capital of Culture in 2008 and enjoyed a substantial level of renovation and development during the surrounding years.
Operating across North Yorkshire, the company has two divisions, one that provides IT infrastructure and one offering renewable energy solutions, including solar PV systems and electric vehicle charging points.
The group specialises in supplying and installing UPVC windows, doors and conservatories in a wide array of styles. Bespoke bathroom panelling and high-quality guttering products are also provided by the two companies.
