Buyers sought for eight Derby-based commercial properties

Commercial property agent Rigby & Co are on the hunt for buyers for eight NHS Derby City buildings, ranging from mixed-use developments to retail and office space.

The commercial properties have been put forward for sale by the NHS's ongoing Estates Rationalisation Programme and Rigby & Co has been tasked with managing the sales.

The buildings up for sale include the trust headquarters, Derwent Court, located on Stuart Street in the centre of Derby, along with a handful of other mixed-use, commercial and residential opportunities.

Russell Rigby, director of Rigby & Co, said, "There is some very interesting property within the bundle of surplus buildings which will be of broad interest to many potential buyers.

"Derwent Court is a very important city centre HQ office which we know will arouse a great deal of interest. It is available to purchase or potentially to lease and we expect to be securing offers through an informal tender process before the end of this calendar year," he added.

Andrew Booth, director of finance at NHS Derby City, said, "We are very pleased to be working...on the disposal of properties now surplus to the local NHS requirements, as part of our wider Estates Rationalisation Programme."
