A 1.77-acre site in Bristol’s Temple Quarter Enterprise Zone has been sold, according to reports.
According to Insider Media Ltd, the industrial site in St Philips was sold by Colliers International to an unnamed buyer represented by DTZ. It is understood that the site was sold for £610,000.
At the moment, the site is leased to Deborah Services on a five-year contract. It includes 10,000 sq ft of office and warehouse space and is situated close to the Feeder Canal.
The St Philips area is popular with car dealerships and industrial and trade businesses - it is home to firms such as Brandon Tool Hire, Speedy Hire, U-Drive, Mitsubishi and Kia Motors..
Insider Media Ltd quotes Richard Coombs, investment director at Colliers, as saying, "The marketing generated a significant amount of interest from local buyers and we are delighted to have completed the sale at asking terms."
Nick More, development specialist at Colliers International, said, "There is plenty of scope for future development at the Silverthorne Lane site given the fact there is presently very low site coverage.”
He added, "In addition the site falls within the Temple Quarter Enterprise Zone and could benefit from future plans to regenerate the area for a creative and technology hub."
