Made famous by appearances on the Channel 4 TV series 'An Island Parish', the UK's most westerly hotel, which overlooks the stunning Tangasdale Beach, has come onto the market.
One of the most remote hotels in the country, the Isle of Barra Beach Hotel – which is located on the Atlantic west coast of the Isle of Barra on the southern tip of the Outer Hebrides – has a price tag of offers in excess of £950,000.
The 39-bedroom hotel was built in 1973 to look like the upturned hull of a shipwreck. Access to the hotel is only possible via a plane to the island's airport, or a ferry.
The hotel sale - which also includes both staff accommodation and owner's accommodation - is being overseen by property agents Knight Frank. Partner at Knight Frank, David Reid, told Caterer Search, “Many of the hotels which I have sold on the Scottish islands have been quite small and profitability is limited.
"The Isle of Barra Beach Hotel is quite an exception and with some 39 rooms and very large owner's accommodation and outstanding profits it really does offer a superb lifestyle for a couple or family," he added.
Mr Reid also went on to say that Barra benefits from 'excellent primary and secondary schooling.' "If new owners wished, there have also been plans drawn up to extend the hotel significantly and the views from the stunningly situated hotel are truly breathtaking,” he added.
The company is an independent environmental consultancy that addresses groundwater and surface water management for clients within the UK.
Maintaining a fully stocked warehouse, the company provides a wide range of oak stair parts, mouldings, joinery parts, doors and flooring.Products can be designed and manufactured in-house to bespoke client requirements.
The company is a reputable provider of temporary and permanent office staff, serving West London and the surrounding regions, with placements ranging from entry roles to managing directors.
