A hotel and golf club located in Shropshire has been put onto the market for £2.5 million.
Cadmore Lodge, which lies just outside Tenbury Wells on the south Shropshire border, comprises 16 guest bedrooms and a country club and events space.
The commercial property – which was built in the 1980s by husband and wife John and Elizabeth Weston – also features a nine-hole golf course with spectacular valley views, two fishing lakes, a reconstructed water mill and a stone tower.
The country club boasts a well-equipped gym, jacuzzi, steam room, 16-metre indoor swimming pool and restaurant.
The current owners have now decided to sell the hotel as they have plans to retire. Mrs Weston told the Shropshire Star, “My husband and I have been trying to retire for a while now.
“We built the Cadmore and it’s our big baby but we want to scale back the operation. We have bookings for weddings next year and they will be honoured. Some people seem to think the hotel is closing and that is not the case,” she added.
Interested parties can purchase either all or part of the hotel estate. The Westons told the newspaper that a guide price of £880,000 had been set for the hotel and car park.
A guide price of £1.7 million has been set for the hotel, two barns, car park, water mill and 35-acre upper estate, which includes the golf course, whilst a price of £2.5 million has been set for the entire 58-acre complex.
