A renewable energy group based in Cirencester has made its first acquisition since it was founded last year. Albion Lepus has acquired long-standing firm Roxon Electrical, a Gloucester-based electrical contractor and solar panel specialist.
The deal is set to enhance Albion Lepus’s operational capabilities and strengthen its presence in the renewable energy market, while enabling Roxon Electrical to drive further efficiencies and innovation through shared resources and expertise.
Albion Lepus was formed in late 2023 as a new platform for businesses in the renewable energy and energy efficiency markets. The group aims to acquire companies operating in the provision of renewable energy and energy efficiency and help UK commercial and domestic clients to save on electricity and gas.
Technologies within the mandate of the platform include solar PV, EV chargers, energy efficient electrical equipment, insulation and air source heat pumps. AI integration into these sectors, which the group feels can help to achieve significant energy efficiencies, will also be an area of focus.
Stuart Homewood, CEO of Albion Lepus, commented: “We are incredibly pleased to take on this exciting business and its brilliant team. Roxon Electrical, formed in 2007, has been committed to delivering electrical infrastructure for FTSE100 companies and providing high-quality renewable energy systems for commercial and residential customers.”
Roxon Electrical CEO Chris James added: I established Roxon Electrical in 2007 with a focus on customer service and technical excellence. I was fortunate to take on great staff that shared my values and work ethic. Honesty, hard work, technical knowledge, diligent service and reputation allowed the business to naturally grow to a size that had never really been planned.”
James added that he was confident that Albion Lepus would be able to lead Roxon Electrical to a successful future.
