Leicester-based Premier Events has bought Bristol peer PYTCH to power is 2025 growth plans.
PYTCH is an event production and technology company whose work ranges from following US comedian Kevin Hart on tour to staging corporate events for the like of retailer SPAR in South Africa, the World Procurement Congress and E-sports.
Premier Events operates from a 26,000 sq ft headquarters with over 30,000 pieces of AV equipment, multiple studios and a specialist woodshop. It has a team of 40 people.
By joining forces with PYTCH, Premier aims to gain access to new technology and different options, improving its existing services in AV production, content creation and event management.
Ben McCarthy, managing director of Premier Events, said: “This acquisition is a major milestone for both Premier and PYTCH and a step forward in our mission to become an industry-leading, fully integrated, full-service event agency. Building on our strong organic growth in recent years, this partnership will help power our growth plans for 2025 and beyond.”
He added: “PYTCH’s talent and technology perfectly complement our services and will enable us to deliver even more value to clients. This acquisition strengthens our roots as a premier AV provider and positions us to drive that area of our business forward.”
Johnny Palmer founder of PYTCH, was equally as enthusiastic. “After 25 years of being in the live events industry, Premier is a great fit. Premier will manage the PYTCH brand, clients, and key staff moving forward. I am super excited to see how Ben and the team grow their larger operation, and I will remain available to support them in any areas required in the foreseeable future.”
The new organisation will operate under the Premier Events brand.
The events industry in the UK is performing strongly. According to a recent report from the Events Industry Alliance the business events industry helped to boost the UK economy by £10.9 billion in 2023.
