Glasgow-based third-party logistics firm Green Fulfilment has acquired fellow B Corporation business Omni Channel Fulfilment to drive expansion of its sustainable warehouse services.
As certified B Corps businesses, both Green Fulfilment and Swindon-based Omni Channel strive to deliver high standards of social and environmental performance, such as through using eco-friendly, recyclable packaging.
As well as enhancing this sustainability drive, as both consumers and businesses strive to cut down on both waste and carbon emissions, Green Fulfilment hopes the acquisition will allow it to offer enhanced services to its e-commerce customers. This includes increased scale, geographic expansion and flexible fulfilment options.
Green Fulfilment covers a range of sectors from homeware fulfilment to food and drink, pet accessories, toys, games, vitamins and fashion. Its clients include fashion and lifestyle group Orla Kiely and stationery firm Papier.
The purchase, backed by HSBC Bank, significantly broadens Green Fulfilment’s national footprint by adding over 75,000 sq. ft. of additional warehouse space to its existing 125,000 sq. ft. in Glasgow. The group, which began with a 20,000 sq. ft. facility in 2016, now operates from five facilities in the UK, allowing customers to deliver domestically, as well as to Europe and around the world.
"We are delighted to welcome Omni Channel Fulfilment into the Green Fulfilment family," said Rukhsar Ahmed, Managing Director of Green Fulfilment. “We are uniquely equipped to meet the evolving needs of our clients while maintaining the high-quality, sustainable service that defines us.”
Co-founder of Green Fulfilment, Cain Fleming added: "This acquisition not only accelerates our growth trajectory, it also reinforces our dedication to driving the 3PL industry toward a sustainable future. We aim to become the UK's most sustainable logistics provider, adhering to the highest standards of social and environmental responsibility.”
