IPC Media has confirmed that it has sold the Horse Magazine business to MyTimeMedia, with immediate effect.
MyTimeMedia already owns some of the most popular hobby magazines in the UK, including Home Cinema Choice and Stamp Magazine. Horse Magazine looks set to make a smooth transition to join these existing titles, with no interruption to the monthly publication schedule of the title.
Paul Williams, managing director for IPC Inspire, the portfolio that is divesting the business, commented on the business sale: “MyTimeMedia is passionate about hobbies, so it is the perfect new home for Horse. My personal thanks go to each member of the team for the great work they have done on Horse and I wish them all the very best for the future.”
Chief executive of MyTimeMedia, Owen Davies, added that the company is “delighted” to add the magazine and its staff to its business. “The magazine will be a perfect fit with out print portfolio and we look forward to developing the website to increase its reach within the equestrian community,” he added.
According to IPC, Horse caters to “the serious leisure rider: and aims to provide news, product reviews, tips and interviews to help riders get the most out of their hobby.
