Crown Architectural Aluminium Ltd has been bought by Epwin Group, it has been confirmed.
The window company, based in Newton Abbot, was founded over 30 years ago and supplies, builds and installs a range of products including windows, shop fronts, fire doors and curtain walling. The firm works across the South West on commercial offices, as well as on residential contracts.
Epwin, meanwhile, was founded in 1976 and is a leading supplier of low maintenance, sustainable and energy efficient products. The acquisition of Crown should help the company to expand its services to meet the growing requirements of its customer base.
Brian Webb, managing director of Epwin Group Building Products Trade Division, commented: “This is a successful acquisition for the Epwin Group; giving us the opportunity to expand our product range and enhance our service offer to existing and potential customers.
“As a building products specialist the skill-set and expertise of these employees is invaluable, and we’re pleased to be adding aluminium fabrication to our extensive portfolio," he added.
Crown's business will operate from an Epwin Group unit in Paignton and the 16 former employees of Crown will be offered new employment by the buyer.
