A Dutch company has acquired H2OK Water and Energy, an environmental agency based in Truro.
Nijhuis Water Technology has a long history of working with H2OK after dealing with the company as a “reliable partner for almost ten years”. H2OK also made use of the Dutch firm's products in the UK.
Menno Holterman, chief executive of Nijhuis, commented: “H2OK has not only been a reliable partner for almost ten years, but also took a leading role by applying innovative Nijhuis technologies to address the growing need for sustainable water and energy solutions in the UK.”
He added that the acquisition “fits seamlessly with our strategy to expand our global market presence and establish local presence in emerging and key markets".
Tom Cunliffe, managing director of H2OK, noted that bringing the two companies together will give the Dutch business access to a “highly skilled and experienced team to realise the opportunities in the fast growing UK market”. Meanwhile, H2OK will benefit from joining forces with a much larger, international business that will provide it with “ample opportunities” to accelerate its growth and supply services to a much wider market.
H2OK was founded in 1995 and currently operates from offices based in Truro, Cornwall and Bristol.
