Digital services firm Xperience Group has acquired GCC Group, a managed IT services provider (MSP) with offices in Gloucester and London. The deal is Xperience’s third acquisition in the space of 24 months and the first since the company secured investment from private equity firm Bowmark Capital in November 2022.
Over the past two years, Xperience has acquired Riverlite and Green Duck and says that these acquisitions have helped it to increase its turnover to more than £30 million, with client numbers of around 1,400 and headcount in excess of 230 – more than double its previous workforce.
GCC, which was founded in 1992, is an MSP and provider of business applications solutions (ERP and CRM). The company provides managed IT services and solutions to SMEs in the UK, supporting more than 600 clients, which include firms in the professional services, financial services, distribution, wholesale and not for profit sectors.
These markets are complementary to Xperience’s current offering, with the deal also bolstering the firm’s business applications efforts and providing it with an entry into London and the West of England for the first time. GCC is also a Microsoft Gold partner, bringing a strong Microsoft capability to Xperience’s existing team and skills.
Xperience Chief Executive Iain O’Kane (pictured above, left, with Chris Harthman of GCC) said: "Xperience is a rapidly growing business with a strong management team, financial track record and a successful history of acquiring high performing businesses.”
"The acquisition of GCC is strategically important as Xperience continues to build out its business application capabilities, enhancing our client proposition and broadening our footprint in the UK."
GCC Chief Executive Chris Harthman said that the company had developed into a leading IT solutions provider over the past 30 years and that its ambition “has always been to join forces with a company that shared our values and could continue to support our business strategy.”
He added: "As the relationship with Iain and his wider team has developed, it has been clear to me that Xperience represents a great home for GCC, and I am excited about what this transaction will provide to both our valued customers and quality team."
