Dental Beauty Partners has hit a fifty-practice milestone after making a trio of acquisitions in the capital before Christmas.
The group bought a practice in Streatham, South London, via a share purchase of a company, and made business and asset purchases of dental practices in Clapham and Teddington.
Assisted by law firm Shakespeare Martineau, the acquisitions take Dental Beauty Partners to that significant fifty-practice figure and its run rate turnover to over £100 million.
Since 2015, the group has grown from a single site in Swanley to one with a England-wide presence and more than 1,000 staff supporting sixty-five thousand patients, including those on the NHS.
With a compound annual growth rate of 73 per cent, the group said it is going from strength to strength, not just in numbers, but thanks to innovations such as the launch of a new orthodontics offering.
Dev Patel, CEO of Dental Beauty Partners, said: "Reaching fifty practices is a huge milestone for us, and we couldn't be more excited about the future. These acquisitions are a testament to our unique partnership model, where each practice is managed by a dentist who has invested in the practice. 2024 was an extraordinary year for us as a group. Not only did we deliver 100 per cent of our NHS contracts, but we also consistently significantly grew the private revenue in each site while maintaining an average 4.8 Google review rating across all sites."
The company's acquisition strategy, which focuses on partnering with dentists to manage each new practice, has been integral to its rapid expansion. This model, the group said, aligns the interests of the practice's management with the group's overall growth goals, ensuring each practice thrives under local leadership while benefiting from the broader resources of the Dental Beauty Partners group.
Gemma Tyson, partner at Shakespeare Martineau who led the trio of recent acquisitions, said: "It's been a privilege to work with Dental Beauty Partners since they had just one practice. Their growth has been impressive and the way they've structured their acquisitions—with each practice having a dedicated dentist partner—has proven to be a key factor in their success. This model not only encourages growth but also addresses recruitment challenges that many practices face. We look forward to continuing our partnership with them as they scale their operations even further."
