A buyer is being sought for the Cornwall-based Lostwithiel Hotel Golf & Country Club, which has a price tag of around £1.85 million.
Humberts Leisure is handling the sale of the property, which comprises an 18-hole, 5,907 yard golf course, driving range and practice facilities, alongside a contemporary clubhouse. The clubhouse includes an indoor heated swimming pool, two outdoor tennis courts and a gym.
The 27-room hotel is made up of traditional period Cornish barns and new build accommodation, and guests can dine in the Black Prince restaurant, or enjoy fishing in one of the two stocked lakes that lie within the grounds.
Director of Humberts Leisure, Ben Allen, said, “Lostwithiel Hotel Golf & Country Club represents a fine opportunity to acquire an established golf hotel resort in one of the UK’s most popular tourist areas.
“We have recently completed the sales of a number of golf businesses across the country with high net worth/lifestyle buyers dominating the market. It will be fascinating to see who acquires this appealing property which has the benefit of a number of income streams,” he added.
The current owner and operator of Lostwithiel Hotel Golf & Country Club, David Picton, said that there were many areas of the facility that remained ripe for 'commercialisation and further development,' including six more hotel bedrooms and a spa.
