Deganwy Quay Hotel in North Wales has been sold following the administration of its holding company, reports have confirmed.
The hotel and spa was owned by a holding company which entered administration earlier this year. The hotel itself continued to operate and was put up for sale and now, five months on, a sale has been secured for £7 million.
The Daily Post confirmed the sale, which will see Inspire Ltd take on the business. It appears that the purchase came at a good time for the buyers as the business is set to enjoy its most successful year since the hotel and spa opened in 2006.
Fiona Gresty, business development manager, spoke to the paper about the purchase: “We are delighted to be working with Inspire and are looking forward to the stability, investment and community spirit that Inspire Ltd will bring, this is great news for staff and customers of the hotel.”
She added that the hotel represents a “very good investment for Inspire” thanks to its “wonderful setting” and the fact it is one of very few modern hotels in the region.
Bookings are expected to continue to improve and staff and loyal customers are likely to be relieved that a sale has been secured and the business can continue to look to the future.
