Data consultancy Ometis Limited has bought peer Tahola Limited to grow its presence in the hospitality sector.
Birmingham-based Ometis provides data integration, governance and analytics solutions to organisations to help them understand and use their data more effectively. It has a team of over 25 consultants.
Hemel Hempstead-based Tahola is a data consultancy firm specialising in the hospitality sector. Established over two decades ago, it provides data solutions to many of the UK's most recognised hospitality brands including Burger King and Butlin's.
The firm's expertise in data visualisation, predictive analytics and bespoke reporting has, Ometis said, helped businesses improve their operations, enhance customer experience and drive growth.
Ometis believes this deal will enhance its service offerings and strengthen its position in data management, particularly within the UK hospitality industry.
It said that the deal builds on its commitment to growth and innovation.
"By bringing together Tahola's industry knowledge and specialist technology with Ometis' capabilities, customers will benefit from a comprehensive suite of data services. This move will give hotels, restaurants and hospitality businesses better tools to make informed decisions that boost efficiency and profitability," it declared.
Andy Patrick, Managing Director of Ometis added: "Tahola's deep expertise in the hospitality sector fits perfectly with our vision of delivering innovative data solutions across our focus industries. Together, we'll help our customers turn their data into actionable insights that drive real business value."
"This marks an exciting new chapter for both companies," said Ross Greig, Chairman of Ometis. "The hospitality sector is evolving rapidly, and businesses need robust data solutions more than ever. By combining our strengths, we're uniquely positioned to help our customers adapt and thrive in this changing landscape."
Simon Blackbourne, Co-Founder of Tahola, said: "Having founded Tahola over 20 years ago, I've seen first-hand how critical data has become to hospitality businesses. Joining forces with Ometis means we can offer businesses even more comprehensive solutions while maintaining the personal service we both value."
