DMN Group, a Birmingham-based national vehicle movement, inspection and fleet support business, has acquired a West Midlands-based logistics firm. DMN Group’s acquisition of Tipton-based Specialist Vehicle Logistics Limited is set to enhance the group’s capacity to provide comprehensive logistics services throughout the UK.
The acquisition continues a period of growth for DMN Group, which commissioned two new hubs in Scotland and the West Midlands earlier this year, increasing its capacity by 1,600 vehicles.
The group's acquisition of Specialist Vehicle Logistics Limited was supported by prominent advisers, with Wilkes acting on behalf of DMN Group on the acquisition. The transaction was originated by corporate finance advisers at Burgis & Bullock, who advised the group on the financial aspects of the deal.
Nick Chadaway, managing director of DMN Group, said: "This acquisition is a great step forward for DMN Group. It strengthens our service offering and expands our reach. We are excited about the opportunities this brings and are grateful to Wilkes and Burgis & Bullock for their expert guidance throughout the process."
The Wilkes team was led by partner Rick Smyth, alongside Christie Nelson, solicitor (corporate), and Leighann Richards, senior associate (real estate). The Burgis & Bullock Corporate Finance team was led by partner Simon Chapman, supported by Niall Douglas.
Wilkes’ Rick Smyth commented: "We have been working with Nick and the DMN team for over ten years now. It has been a privilege to advise Nick and the team at DMN Group once again on this acquisition.”
"The automotive logistics sector is evolving rapidly, and this acquisition places DMN in a strong position to capitalise on future growth opportunities. We look forward to seeing the continued success of DMN as it expands its presence in the market."
