Birmingham-based firm Pearl Comms has made its first acquisition, with a six-figure deal for Kinetic Communications. Following the acquisition, Pearl Comms founder and managing director Alia Al-Doori (pictured above, right, with Kinetic Communications founder Angela Podmore) said that M&A had long been part of the company’s plans.
Al-Doori founded Pearl Comms in 2017 and the business has grown significantly over the past six years, establishing a national client base that ranges from large multinationals and corporates to SMEs and small start-up businesses.
The firm’s inaugural acquisition sees it take over fellow Birmingham comms firm Kinetic Communications, which was formed nearly 20 years ago by PR specialist Angela Podmore.
Pearl Comms founder and MD Alia Al-Doori commented: "I have always seen acquisitions being part of our future and the time feels right for us to expand to meet the demands of a rapidly recovering market.”
"Our organic growth through this period has been exceptional and we are ready to take the next step. Angela and I have been in talks for a few years about what the future might hold for our businesses, and I'm looking forward to that now being a reality."
Kinetic Communications founder Angela Podmore, who will move to Pearl Comms as part of the acquisition, said: "I've watched Alia's progress for some years. Pearl Comms impresses on many levels so I'm very comfortable that I've made the right decision for both our team and clients and our client bases are complementary."
