BDO have been hired to market ticket specialist Attraction World after its shareholders decided to dispose of the company in a trade sale.
Third parties were urged to register their interest by the deadline, which was yesterday the 8th of April.
The business has been reportedly valued at £6 million. Its website claims that it is Britain's leading theme park and attraction ticket specialist.
Attraction World sells tickets to shows, sightseeing tours, as well as to attractions and theme parks, taking place all over the world.
The website promises that 'the price you see is the price you pay' and that there are 'no hidden extras'.
A potential buyout has been on the cards since late in 2008, but had to be postponed due to the financial crisis. It is expected that a large company in the travel sector will purchase the business in order to expand its own ticket operations.
Attraction World recorded revenues of £31 million for 2009, and profits of £2.5 million. It has enjoyed three to five years of sustained growth according to sales director Tony Seaman.
The company won three awards in 2009: Best Trade Booking Website at the British Travel Awards; Star Attractions Specialist at the Travel Bulletin Awards; and Best add-ons Provider at the Travel Weekly Globe Travel Awards.
