Taurus Tools Ltd, a pipeworks engineering firm based in Warrington, has been put up for sale with an asking price of £300,000. The company, which was founded in 2009, had turnover of around £240,000 in its most recent financial year.
The company is a specialist in pipework equipment, providing services including servicing and repair of equipment and sales of pipework parts. The firm was founded by Brian Wilson, who said that a new owner should have a background in pipeworks.
The business employs four staff and is headquartered at a site on Warrington’s Guardian Street Industrial Estate, which is included in the sale price. In addition, the company operates an active eBay store and its own website.
The company is being marketed for sale by Blacks Business Brokers. Megan Sutherst, a Deal Executive at Blacks, said that the business offers significant growth opportunities, particularly through an upgrading of its online presence.
Sutherst said: "Taurus Tools is a well-established business with a loyal customer base and an excellent reputation. It also offers significant scope for growth – an upgraded website being the most obvious way a new owner could generate new customers.”
"A new owner would need the right technical background to make the business work, but it would be a great opportunity for an entrepreneurial engineer considering setting up in business, or perhaps a sole trader looking to expand.”
Sutherst added: "Warrington has some of the best motorway links in the country so, as well as being fully equipped and staffed, Taurus Tools is fantastically located and will provide a great opportunity for whoever takes it over.”
In the firm's most recent accounts at Companies House, for the year ending March 31 2022, its total assets were valued at around £172,000, with net assets amounting to £132,189.
