Those looking to sell an IT business might be interested to learn that a global IT business is on the hunt for acquisitions.
Advanced Digital Dynamics (ADD), an IT distributor based in Harrogate, specialises in computer hardware and data destruction. Julie Pickersgill, the company's operations director, has seen the company enjoy a solid period of organic growth and the company is now in a strong position to explore acquisitions.
Ms Pickersgill told The Business Desk: “As well as our own organic growth, we are now looking for acquisitions and investment. We want to be able to continue with our growth and we know we won’t be able to do that just organically, we will have to expand into different areas.”
As well as more traditional acquisitions, the business is also looking into investing in smaller businesses to boost entrepreneurial endeavours.
The type of acquisitions the firm is looking to make is unclear at the moment. However, ADD has historically performed well and is one of the technology companies in the UK that has really kept up on top of developments within its sector. Ms Pickersgill, who joined the business in 2006 when it had a turnover of just £300,000, explained that the firm is “constantly evolving” in order to keep pace.
Under her guidance the company grew to have 20 employees and a turnover in the region of £3.4 million, despite the challenging economic conditions it has faced.
