Swindon-based car clamping company Whites Car Parking Solutions has gone into administration this week amidst continued complaints from local motorists claiming that the company used a series of unlawful and sometimes even intimidating tactics to issue false parking fines.
The firm’s boss, Jason White, heavily refutes the accusations made against the company. However, this is the second time the business, which provides an on-the-spot vehicle clamping service to the local council authorities as well as private landowners in the Swindon area, has had to appoint an insolvency practitioner.
Whites narrowly escaped liquidation back in December 2011 when Martin Paul Halligan of Live Recoveries Limited was appointed as the insolvency practitioner representing the company after it was forced to hold court meetings with creditors following failure to meet rescheduled debt repayments.
The company has had to deal with a number of small claims from aggrieved motorists claiming to have been wrongfully fined. Many of these cases have resulted in compensation being awarded by the courts to the claimants. Currently the business's debts stand at an estimated £110,000 and it is likely that the company will be forced to sell off further assets, including various sites owned around the Swindon area.
This business opportunity presents a solid foundation for expansion within the aviation sector, backed by a strong management team and a robust client base spanning over two decades.
