Contact centre and fulfilment service provider Spark Response has purchased the assets of Ethical Superstore to form a new division after it entered administration recently.
Mr James Bradney and Andrew Duncan of Bridge Business Recovery were appointed as joint administrators to Ethicalsuperstore.com Limited on 15 March.
The assets acquired are to form part of a new division at Spark Response. The co-founders of Ethical Superstore will join the board of directors at the new business, along with Spark managing director Peter Slee and co-director Noel Lambert.
Ethical Superstore is one of the leading online ethical product retailers in the UK and sells to over 150,000 customers.
Spark Response’s clients include Toys R Us, FitFlop and Cancer Research UK. It has been working directly with Ethical Superstore since April 2010, when it began to deal with all of its inbound phone calls, alongside taking on its e-commerce fulfilment in August 2010.
Mr Slee commented, “This is a fantastic opportunity for Spark to broaden its offering and is a logical extension to our business.”
“Spark will be making a significant investment over the next year to profitably grow Ethical Superstore, Natural Collection and newly-launched Onegoodmarket.com. During the transition period, we aim to provide service as usual to consumer and, in time, we aim to grow the product range and services available," he added.
