Independent Contractor Security has rescued Sekure Europe Ltd out of administration, after it was hit by cashflow problems earlier this year.
Chris White and John Russell of The P&A Partnership were brought in to the Yorkshire-based security firm as joint administrators in March, and identified a buyer after only two weeks of searching. The deal has secured about 70 jobs.
Mr White commented: “Sekure Europe ran into cashflow difficulties earlier this year. We are pleased that a buyer has been found so quickly to save jobs and keep the business going.”
Sekure Europe specialises in security services to local authorities, schools and businesses.
Established in June 2007, Independent Contractor Security offers several security related services from its base in Chesterfield, including manned guarding, alarm response, cleaning and mobile security patrols.
Ian Maycock of Charterfields was appointed by P&A to conduct the sale and said: “Negotiations were conducted with two interested parties, with Independent Contractor Security considered the one offering the best prospects for the business and its employees.
“The whole operation, from search to sale, was completed in jut two weeks. We are delighted to have found a buyer to save the business and the jobs of the staff.”
Operating across North Yorkshire, the company has two divisions, one that provides IT infrastructure and one offering renewable energy solutions, including solar PV systems and electric vehicle charging points.
The group specialises in supplying and installing UPVC windows, doors and conservatories in a wide array of styles. Bespoke bathroom panelling and high-quality guttering products are also provided by the two companies.
