Administrators are reportedly carrying out an urgent search for a buyer with experience in motor claims work to take on stricken claims management company, Broker Assistance.
The news of the company's plight was confirmed by the Auto Body Professionals Club (ABP), which had been closely following Broker Assistance's financial situation this week, and had reported that it was facing "great business difficulty". The APB confirmed that it had been contacted by administrators acting for the company - thought to be from Leonard Curtis.
The administrators are said to be "urgently seeking interested parties with regards to the sale of a business whose principal activity is the provision of motor claims solutions and recovery services on behalf of brokers, insurers and businesses".
The company, which is headquartered in Warrington, Cheshire, was founded in 2004 by Jon Ralph. Its turnover last year was reported to be around £15 million and it employs 120 members of staff. It is closely linked with legal firm, Irwin Mitchell, which owns an 87 per cent stake of the company.
The news of the collapse has come just months after Broker Assistance won the lucrative contract to run the AA's accident management.
