A buyer is being sought for a Manchester-based manufacturer of personalised workwear, after it was placed into administration this week.
Touchline (UK) Ltd – which operates from headquarters on Knutsford Road, Warrington – has succumbed to persistent financial struggles, leaving its 24 staff out of work.
Directors have appointed Paul Flint and Brian Green of KPMG's restructuring team as joint administrators of the firm, which had a turnover of £800,000 from its trade in supplying embroidered workwear, as well as corporate uniforms, sportswear and school wear.
Mr Flint said, "Touchline (UK) had been experiencing severe cash flow issues for a number of months, which ultimately prompted the directors to appoint us as administrators.
"The business has ceased to trade while we seek a buyer for the business and its assets," he added, urging any parties interested in a potential buy-out to contact him as soon as possible.
Touchline (UK) has provided uniforms for companies across the British Isles since it was founded in 2001. Its customers have included a number of internationally recognised brands, including Mercedes, Volvo, Henri Lloyd and Adidas. It had also ventured into a division that supplied engraved trophies.
